The 19th annual Starburst Junior Golf Classic returns to Waco next Monday through Wednesday.
As many as 600 players, ages 7-17, will take part on four Central Texas golf courses – Cottonwood Creek, Lake Waco, Ridgewood and Stonetree Country Club in Belton. The tournament remains one of the largest junior golf events in the world.
The Starburst Classic will open with a player event on Sunday at Cottonwood that includes a question-and-answer session with a college coach and a helicopter ball drop involving 1,300 balls and a $2,000 prize.
