Former West baseball standout Bailey Horn will continue his playing career at Auburn, as he announced his commitment to the Tigers on Friday.
Horn, a left-handed pitcher at McLennan Community College, turned in a splendid freshman year in 2017 for the Highlanders. He fashioned a 7-0 record with a 3.86 ERA, 77 strikeouts and just 34 walks in 77 innings.
Horn is the third MCC baseball player to commit to an SEC school since the start of the school year, joining Josh Breaux (Arkansas) and George Calil (South Carolina). He’s also the second MCC player from West to announce his plans this month, as infielder Griffin Paxton pledged to UT-San Antonio.
At Auburn, one of Horn’s pitching coaches will be Steve Smith, former head coach at Baylor.
