BRYSON — The Falcons advanced to their third consecutive TAPPS Six-Man state final by obliterating Plainview in the state semifinal round.
Matthew Bailey attempted just nine passes for Live Oak (7-6), yet six of those went for touchdowns. The Falcons also ran the ball plenty effectively, led by reigning Super Centex Six-man Player of the Year Chase Hill, who carried nine times for 196 yards and two touchdowns, averaging more than 20 yards a pop.
Mark Smith snagged three of Bailey’s TD tosses, while Carter Mencken had two scoring receptions and William Wallace one. Live Oak will play Bulverde Bracken for the state title at 7 p.m. Thursday at Midway High School’s Panther Stadium.
