The Blackcats (7-3, 5-0 District 7-4A Division II) raced to a 21-0 lead, but Groesbeck (1-9, 0-5) hung around and was within two scores going into the final quarter after a pair of Josh Forge touchdowns.

Axtell 23, Valley Mills 20: In Axtell, Colton Fields ended the Longhorns’ season in style, banging through a 38-yard field goal with no time left.

Dylan Haralson ran for 105 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries for Axtell (4-6, 2-3 District 8-2A Division I), which also got a pair of scoring runs from Kolten Hurst of 1 and 5 yards in the back-and-forth battle.
