Freshman safety J.W. Ketchum said Monday he is planning to enroll at Blinn College but eventually wants to return to Baylor.

A Blinn communications official said Tuesday that Ketchum won’t be playing football for the school.

Ketchum announced last week that he was longer enrolled at Baylor after he was suspended from the roster for violation of team rules. He hadn’t played in any games as a true freshman.

Ketchum was jailed Aug. 15 on a charge of possession of marijuana under 2 ounces. Ketchum was released the following day on a $1,000 bond, jail records show. Ketchum was reportedly arrested by Baylor police.
