Baylor received a verbal commitment from Houston Westside junior defensive tackle Jordan Elliott on Saturday.
The 6-5, 300-pound Elliott is considered one of the top defensive linemen in the state in the 2016 class. He visited Baylor on Saturday as part of the school’s annual junior day.
Elliott is the sixth verbal commitment for the Bears in the 2016 class.
He joins Silsbee offensive lineman Patrick Hudson, Port Arthur Memorial running back Kameron Martin, Grandview quarterback Zach Smith, Navasota receiver Tren’Davian Dickson and Kountz defensive back Grayland Arnold.
