Baylor continued to build its offensive line of the future by getting a verbal commitment from Princeton Pines on Friday night.
Pines is a 6-5, 330-pound lineman from Baton Rouge (La.) University Laboratory High School who chose Baylor over such schools as TCU, Texas Tech, Arkansas, Mississippi State and Missouri.
Pines is a two-star recruit by Rivals.com who became the fifth offensive line commitment in Baylor’s 2018 class as he joins Katy’s Connor Galvin, Franklin’s Casey Phillips, Bryan’s Ylijaah Hall and Southlake Carroll’s Jackson Kimble.
The Bears now have 21 commitments in the 2018 class heading into next week’s early NCAA signing period Wednesday through Friday. The second signing date will be Feb. 7.
