WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — The Baylor men’s golf team shot 7-over 567 in the first two rounds of the Big 12 Championship on Saturday at The Greenbrier’s Old White TPC. That puts the Bears in sixth place, 21 strokes off leader Oklahoma State, entering Sunday’s final round.

The Baylor men’s golf team will travel to Tempe, Arizona, to play in the 47th annual Thunderbird Collegiate tournament Friday and Saturday. Arizona State University is the host school and defending champion.

Former Baylor men’s golf coach Tim Hobby, PGA Teaching Professional at The Club at Sonterra in San Antonio, won the Southern Texas PGA Memorial Tournament Senior Division earlier this week. He went into Wednesday’s final round with a seven-under-par 65 and never looked back. He finished the 36-hole Championship with a total score of 137 (-7). This marks Hobby’s third Senior Division title.

The Baylor men’s golf squad will open up action on Sunday in the Valspar Collegiate, which runs through Tuesday in Palm City, Fla. The 54-hole tournament will be played on the par-71, 7,114-yard course at Floridian National Golf Club.

Coming off a third place finish at the Querencia Cabo Collegiate tournament, the Baylor men’s golf team travels to Palm City, Florida, to compete in the Valspar Collegiate Invitational. The tournament will take place Sunday through Tuesday at the Floridian National Golf Club.

SAN JOSE DEL CABO, Mexico — Paced by junior Colin Kober’s career-best fifth-place finish, the Baylor men’s golf team took third in the Querencia Cabo Collegiate at Los Cabos Querencia on Tuesday.

LOS CABOS QUERENCIA, Mexico — Halfway through the Querencia Cabo Collegiate tournament, the Baylor men’s golf team finds itself in second place behind only Oklahoma State. After Monday’s round, the Bears have shot 277-277—555, while OSU shot 277-269—546.

HOUSTON — The Baylor men’s golf team got off to a successful start at the inaugural Big 12 Match Play Championships, as the sixth-seeded Bears defeated third-seeded Texas, 3-1-2, on Friday at the Club at Houston Oaks.

The Baylor men are tied for third place after the Monday round of the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas. The Bears shot a 14-under 554 through the first two rounds, six shots out of first. SMU (-20) leads and College of Charleston (-16) is in second. North Texas is tied with the Bears.

OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. — What started as a good round at par halfway through the round at the Olympia Fields Country Club in Illinois, ended at a 12-over 292, leaving the Baylor men’s golf team in 11th place after Friday’s first round of the Fighting Illini Invitational. The Bears trail leader California, which shot -7 for the day, by 19 shots.

Baylor men’s golf came to Karsten Creek Golf Course in Stillwater, Oklahoma, hoping to exceed last year’s run through the NCAA Men’s Championship. Unfortunately, the Bears failed to make the initial cut, finishing in 30th place with a three-round score of 910, 46 above par.

Baylor’s men’s golf team find themselves in a difficult situation after the first two rounds of the NCAA Men’s Championship tournament in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The team fell from 22nd to 26th after a second round 298. They are ten strokes back from the three teams tied for 14th place.

Baylor golf has been on a roll lately. Baylor is one of a handful of schools to send both men’s and women’s teams to the NCAA Championships in consecutive years. The women fell short of advancing to the semifinals in Stillwater, Oklahoma, when they lost to Arizona. The men’s team travels to Stillwater May 25-30 to play in the men’s championship, at the Karsten Creek Golf Club.

The Baylor men’s golf team is an NCAA tournament regular, and the Bears will open their 21st consecutive appearance Monday morning in the Bryan Regional. The three-day, 54-hole tournament, will be played on the par-72, 7,121-yard course at Traditions Club.

TULSA, Okla. — A rainy day didn’t help conditions at the Big 12 Men’s Golf Championship, where Baylor finished fifth after Wednesday’s final round at Southern Hills Country Club.

The ASU Thunderbird Invitational will be Baylor men’s golf’s final regular season tournament Saturday and Sunday. The tournament will be played at two sites. The team event will be played at Karsten Golf Course and a separate individual tourney will be played at the Papago Golf Course in Phoenix, Arizona.
