HOUSTON — The Baylor men’s golf team got off to a successful start at the inaugural Big 12 Match Play Championships, as the sixth-seeded Bears defeated third-seeded Texas, 3-1-2, on Friday at the Club at Houston Oaks.

The Baylor men are tied for third place after the Monday round of the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas. The Bears shot a 14-under 554 through the first two rounds, six shots out of first. SMU (-20) leads and College of Charleston (-16) is in second. North Texas is tied with the Bears.

OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. — What started as a good round at par halfway through the round at the Olympia Fields Country Club in Illinois, ended at a 12-over 292, leaving the Baylor men’s golf team in 11th place after Friday’s first round of the Fighting Illini Invitational. The Bears trail leader California, which shot -7 for the day, by 19 shots.

Baylor men’s golf came to Karsten Creek Golf Course in Stillwater, Oklahoma, hoping to exceed last year’s run through the NCAA Men’s Championship. Unfortunately, the Bears failed to make the initial cut, finishing in 30th place with a three-round score of 910, 46 above par.

Baylor’s men’s golf team find themselves in a difficult situation after the first two rounds of the NCAA Men’s Championship tournament in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The team fell from 22nd to 26th after a second round 298. They are ten strokes back from the three teams tied for 14th place.

Baylor golf has been on a roll lately. Baylor is one of a handful of schools to send both men’s and women’s teams to the NCAA Championships in consecutive years. The women fell short of advancing to the semifinals in Stillwater, Oklahoma, when they lost to Arizona. The men’s team travels to Stillwater May 25-30 to play in the men’s championship, at the Karsten Creek Golf Club.

The Baylor men’s golf team is an NCAA tournament regular, and the Bears will open their 21st consecutive appearance Monday morning in the Bryan Regional. The three-day, 54-hole tournament, will be played on the par-72, 7,121-yard course at Traditions Club.

TULSA, Okla. — A rainy day didn’t help conditions at the Big 12 Men’s Golf Championship, where Baylor finished fifth after Wednesday’s final round at Southern Hills Country Club.

The ASU Thunderbird Invitational will be Baylor men’s golf’s final regular season tournament Saturday and Sunday. The tournament will be played at two sites. The team event will be played at Karsten Golf Course and a separate individual tourney will be played at the Papago Golf Course in Phoenix, Arizona.

Palm City, Florida – In the second round of the Valspar Collegiate played Monday at the Floridian National Golf Club, Baylor’s golf team moved up two spots, shooting 279 for the day. Baylor’s total for the two day is a 5-under 563. No. 1 Oklahoma State leads the tournament. The Cowboys are 17-under after two rounds.

LOS CABOS, Mexico — The Baylor men’s golf team finished in 10th place at the Querencia Cabo Collegiate with a 54-hole total of 19-over-par 871. The Bears carded a 7-over 291 in Tuesday’s final round at Querencia Country Club,

The Baylor men’s golf team has competed in seven tournaments for the season. In the first six, the Bears were in the top four of the teams after the first round. That is not the case after Sunday’s first round of the Querencia Cabo Collegiate in Los Cabos, Mexico. The team finds itself in 14th place with 299 for the day. No. 1 Oklahoma State leads the tournament with a 276 round.

BU men’s golf played themselves into second place after two rounds in the All-American Intercollegiate. The Bears shot a second round 9-under-par 279 for a two day total of 558. Auburn leads the tournament at -31. Auburn shot a 271 in Saturday’s play.

The Baylor men’s golf is in fourth place at the All-American Intercollegiate being played in Humble. The Bears find themselves five strokes back of No. 10 Auburn (-14), Houston (-14) and No. 48 Ole Miss (-12). Baylor shot a 9-under-par 279 and have 36 holes still to play.

TUCSON, Ariz. – The fifth-ranked Baylor men’s golf team opened with a strong start at its spring season-opening tournament at the Arizona Intercollegiate on Monday. The Bears shot 16-over 303 at the Sewailo Golf Club to take a 4-stroke lead after one round. Texas A&M is second at 307, while Arizona and New Mexico are tied for third at 313.

VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. — The Baylor men’s golf finished in third place with a three-round total of 12-under-par 828 at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate. The Bears shot 2-over 282 in Tuesday’s final round at Old Overton Club, and they finished seven shots back of tournament host and champion Alabama.

The Baylor men's golf team shot 6-over-par 858 to take second place in the 16-team Gopher Invitational, and Garrett May tied the school record by shooting a final round 9-under 63 to win the Gopher Individual title by 11 strokes at 15-under 201.
