Baylor (34-19, 12-12) will be the No. 5 seed for the Big 12 tournament event and will play fourth-seeded West Virginia (32-22, 12-12) in the event's first game at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Oklahoma City.

The field has been set for the Big 12 baseball tournament, and the Baylor Bears will try to catch the worm as the early bird.

Baylor (34-19, 12-12) will be the No. 5 seed for the event and will play fourth-seeded West Virginia (32-22, 12-12) in the tournament’s first game at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.

Other first-day games include No. 1 Texas Tech, which shared the Big 12 title with TCU, against No. 8 Oklahoma State at 12:30 p.m., No. 2 TCU vs. No. 7 Kansas at 4 p.m. and No. 3 Oklahoma vs. No. 6 Texas at 7:30 p.m.

The double-elimination tournament will continue through Sunday. Baylor will be trying to win its first Big 12 tournament.
