LAFOX, Ill. (AP) — Richardson Electronics Ltd. (RELL) on Wednesday reported a fiscal second-quarter loss of $304,000, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Lafox, Illinois-based company said it had a loss of 2 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 3 cents per share.

The electronic components and communication products company posted revenue of $41.3 million in the period.

Richardson Electronics shares have fallen roughly 4 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $8.35, a rise of 20 percent in the last 12 months.
