U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested seven Waco residents in an operation that resulted in 145 arrests, the agency announced last week.

ICE officers conducted a seven-day enforcement operation targeting immigration violators in South and Central Texas. The operation ended Feb. 16 with the arrest of seven Waco residents, 45 Austin residents, 41 San Antonio residents, 37 Rio Grande Valley residents and 15 Laredo residents.

Most of the people arrested have previous criminal histories, according to an ICE press release. Among the 145, past convictions include indecency with a child, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, drug possession and alien smuggling, according to the press release.

Sixty-one of the people arrested have previously been deported, according to the press release.
