Thirty-two seniors, including 100-year-old Virginia Gural, climbed aboard the Waco Lions Park train for a trip around the grounds Friday.
The group walked from the nearby Harrison Senior Center. The center’s director suggested the idea after riding the train with her granddaughter earlier in the week.
Gural will turn 101 in September.
The park installed the 55-foot-long train in early June, replacing the approximately 50-year-old locomotive that had outlived the manufacturing of its replacement parts.
