Author Gary L. Pinkerton will discuss Trammel’s Trace, the first route from the United States into the northern boundaries of Spanish Texas, during a webinar presented by the Central Texas Genealogical Society.

St. Martin of Tours picnic

St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 301 St. Martin’s Church Road in West, will have its annual picnic from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The event will include a fried chicken and sausage dinner for $10 per plate, a live auction, bingo, games for children, entertainment and more.

Aging workshops

The Area Agency on Aging is offering three workshops in October: a chronic disease workshop for all conditions, a diabetes workshop and a pain workshop.

Each workshop meets once a week for six weeks. Enrollment does not require a doctor’s order or replace current treatments. Significant others are also encouraged to attend. For more information, call 292-1855.

Women’s Clubs open house

The Waco Federation of Women’s Clubs will have an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at its clubhouse, 2900 Bosque Blvd.
