First Presbyterian Blue Christmas Jazz Service Blue Christmas is a service/commemoration to balance the abundant messages of joy that can contribute to mental distress during the holiday season. The acknowledgement that there is significant sadness because of loss of loved ones, jobs, meaning etc., can be addressed in such a service.
