Notice of Action of Building Standards Commission City of Waco, McLennan County, Texas Notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Building Standards Commission for the City of Waco, Texas, on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, the following determinations were made regarding the properties described below: 1. The following properties were determined to be in violation of standards set by the City of Waco, to be in a condition that constitutes a hazard to the health, safety and welfare of citizens, and to be capable of repair that does not amount to substantial reconstruction. The Building Standards Commission ordered that each of these properties be REPAIRED within 30 days of the hearing. Failure to complete the repairs within the time stated will result in the assessment of a civil penalty of up to $1,000 per day for each day the repairs are not complete. 2720 Clay Ave. 214 S. 11th St. 1611 Cleveland Ave. 2. The following properties were determined to be in violation of standards set by the City of Waco, to be in a condition that constitutes a hazard to the health, safety and welfare of citizens, and to be capable of repair that does not amount to substantial reconstruction. The Building Standards Commission ordered that each of these properties be REPAIRED within 60 days of the hearing. Failure to complete the repairs within the time stated will result in the assessment of a civil penalty of up to $1,000 per day for each day the repairs are not complete. 3521 N. 24th St. 3. The following properties were determined to be in violation of standards set by the City of Waco, to be in a condition that constitutes a hazard to the health, safety and welfare of citizens, and to be capable of repair that does not amount to substantial reconstruction. The Building Standards Commission ordered that each of these properties be REPAIRED within 90 days of the hearing. Failure to complete the repairs within the time stated will result in the assessment of a civil penalty of up to $1,000 per day for each day the repairs are not complete. 1428 Springdale St. 3812 Elliott Dr. 4. The following properties were determined to be in violation of standards set by the City of Waco, to be in a condition that constitutes a hazard to the health, safety and welfare of citizens, and to be in a condition requiring repairs that would amount to substantial reconstruction. The Building Standards Commission ordered that each of these properties be DEMOLISHED within 30 days of the hearing. Failure to demolish the structure will result in City of Waco demolishing the structure and assessing expenses for the demolition and legal disposal of building materials by filing a lien against the property. 713 S. 16th St. 1524 E.
