HGTV

Chip and Joanna Gaines are filiming yet another season of “Fixer Upper” on HGTV. They have been signed to remodel 13 homes, and work already has begun.

Fans of Waco home renovators/decorators Joanna and Chip Gaines, the stars of HGTV’s increasingly popular “Fixer Upper” program, can get an early shot of the couple Thursday, July 31, when they appear on NBC’s “The Today Show.”

I’ve seen two different times that they’re supposed to appear, either 8:40 or 9 a.m., so it’s probably best to tune in (or DVR) at the earlier time just to be safe.

The Gaineses have an easy chemistry that translates well on television and our family usually tunes in on Thursday nights to catch an episode, then try to guess where in Waco the home they’ve just renovated is. I happened to see a mother-daughter couple pose for a selfie in front of the Gaineses’ Magnolia Market shop on Bosque Boulevard the other day, a sign that their show is winning a considerable following.

Here’s a link to a FAQ post Joanna put on her Magnolia Homes website earlier this month after the final episode of Season 1 aired. The Gaineses, by the way, recently did their first home reveal for the second season, but we won’t be seeing that episode until January. Guess we’ll have to drive around town looking for camera crews until then . . .
