If you’ve become a fan of HGTV’s home renovation program “Fixer Upper” with Joanna and Chip Gaines of Waco’s Magnolia Homes, you’re not alone: Last week, the channel led all cable channels in viewership among women 25 to 54 years old, buoyed by such programs as “Brother vs. Brother,” “Flip or Flop” and “Fixer Upper.”
The network has renewed the Gaines’ program, which airs new episodes at 10 p.m. Thursdays, for another season and is shopping for Waco homes on which the Gaines can work their renovation/remodeling magic.
Here’s what the producers are looking for: Someone near to closing on a house whose location or other qualities make it desired, but which could use some work to improve. Said house has to be within 50 miles of Waco and the buyers must have at least $30,000 of their own money for renovation work (in other words, neither HGTV nor the Gaines will pay for your house renovation).
If you think you qualify, email email@example.com. They’ll be looking over the next two or three months for potential fixer-uppers.
