Early voting starts Tuesday

Almost 1,900 McLennan County residents voted Tuesday, the first day of early voting for the March 6 joint primary election.

Early voting continues through March 2.

There are 134,133 registered voters in McLennan County, and 1,869 voted or mailed in a ballot Tuesday, according to the election's office.

Of those, 752 voted in Democratic primaries and 1,117 voted in Republican primaries.

A total of 6,025 people voted early during the March 2014 primary election.

The five early-voting centers are open to anyone registered in the county:

  • McLennan County elections administration office, Records Building
    214 N. Fourth St., suite 300, Waco
  • Robinson Community Center
    106 W. Lyndale Drive
  • First Assembly of God Church
    6701 Bosque Blvd., Waco
  • Waco Multi-Purpose Community Center
    1020 Elm St.
  • Hewitt Public Safety Facility
    100 Patriot Court.

Early voting times:

  • 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday
  • 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday
  • 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday
  • 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through March 2.
