Midway Juniors fall, 5-1, in World Series
KIRKLAND, Wash. — The Midway Junior League softball team lost its consolation semifinal game, 5-1, to South Bend, Ind., on Friday at the Junior Softball World Series.
Already trailing by five runs, Gabby Bone brought home Destiny Davis to plate Midway’s only run in the seventh inning. South Bend scored four of its five runs in the first two innings.
The loss drops Midway into the seventh-place game today against host Washington at 6:30 a.m. CST.
