* Manuel Ordones, coach of the Region V North champion McLennan Community College softball team, will host three camps this month at Bosque River Ballpark.

MCC will hold a hitting camp from 9 a.m. to noon Monday and Tuesday, and a pitching/catching camp from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday. Both camps will be open to all ages, but high school players are especially encouraged to attend. The cost for the first two camps will be $60.

A third camp for ages 7-13 will be June 14-17, and will focus on all aspects of softball. The cost is $100.

All participants are asked to bring gloves, caps, workout attire and bats.

* Region V Conference champion McLennan Community College will host a basketball camp Monday through Thursday for boys ages 9-18.

* A six-week volleyball training program will be held for girls in grades 5-12 beginning Tuesday,
