*  Southern Little League will hold registration for the upcoming baseball and softball season for players ages 4 to 15 from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Sacred Heart Church Knights of Columbus Hall, 2601 Bagby Ave.

Registration costs $65 for the first child and $55 for each additional child. Players must show proof of residency and a birth certificate.

Coaches, managers and volunteers are needed.

Southern will also host a benefit golf tournament March 19 at Battle Lake Golf Club in Mart.

Businesses are asked to sponsor the event at levels of $600, $300 and $100.

*  The Bruceville-Eddy Sports Association will hold sign-ups for T-ball, baseball and softball from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 27 and from 6 to 8 p.m. March 4 at the elementary school.

All players need to provide a copy of their birth certificate and proof of residency.
