Navarro Mills Lake Marina recognizes anglers who catch crappie weighing 2 pounds or more with its Two Pound Club, and Alan Singleton of Milford became the eighth member of the year when he caught a 2.15-pounder from the marina’s fishing dock Friday.

 The marina also sponsors a big-crappie contest that continues through July 4. The biggest crappie caught at Navarro Mills and weighed at the marina will take the jackpot. Registration is free. For more information, call 254-578-1131.
