Four wins, no losses. That’s where the McLennan College Highlassies stand in conference play after sweeping a doubleheader from Ranger Saturday at the Bosque River Ballpark. The ‘Lassies won the first game, 2-1, and blanked Ranger in the second, 6-0.

Victoria Vasquez continues to prove to be MCC’s ace, allowing only two hits and seven strike outs in the first game. Highlassie Ariana Hernandez went 1-3 with a double and RBI. Teammate Breanna Heredia went 1-1 with an RBI.

In the second game, Emily Klanika allowed two hits to go with the five strikeouts . Reliever Emily Gray struck out five in one and one-third inning of work. Hernandez and Katlin Richards each hit a homer. Richards drove in three runs, while Hernandez had 2 RBI.

MCC travels to Sherman in Grayson for their next conference doubleheader. The first game begins at 1 p.m.
