With their last two regular season games on the road, McLennan College men’s basketball drives down the interstate to Temple for a 4 p.m. game Saturday. The Highlanders, No. 24 in this week’s NJCAA Division I Men’s Basketball rankings and coming off Head Coach Kevin Gill’s 400 career win, hope to extend their three-game winning streak.

MCC (24-4, 7-3 conference) avenged an earlier season loss against Collin County Wednesday with a convincing 72-56 win at The Highlands. They are currently tied with Collin County for the conference lead. Temple (22-6, 6-4) sits one game back, tied with Hill College for third place.

The Highlanders won their previous game against Temple, 86-74, in Waco on Jan. 31.
