The McLennan Community College Highlanders are in sixth place with 286-305 – 591 after the first two rounds of the NJCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship at the Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City, Kansas.

Odessa is in first place with 284-292 – 576, followed by Eastern Florida State in second with 294-289 – 583 and Indian Hills in third with 292-292 – 584. Dodge City and Midland round out the top five with 295-291 – 586 and 294-293 – 587, respectively.

Sophomore Kade Miller is leading the Highlanders with 72-74 – 146 and is tied for 12th place.

Other McLennan scores: freshman Micah Goulas, tied for 17th, 71-76 – 147; freshman Judd Tilson, tied for 21st, 71-77 – 148; sophomore Ryan Brown, tied for 35th, 72-79 – 151; and freshman Alex Isakson, tied for 47th, 75-78 – 153.

Highlassies golf in 4th entering national tournament’s final round

The McLennan Community College Highlassies are in fourth place with 320-326-328 – 974 with one round to play at the NJCAA National Championships at the par-71, 6,109-yard Chateau Elan Resort in Braselton, Georgia.

Daytona State remains in first place with 300-294-296 – 890, followed by Seminole State in second with 306-296-304 – 906 and Tyler in third with 320-321-323 – 964.

Freshman Makenna Davidson is in 19th place and leads the Highlassies with 79-80-79-238.
