The West Lady Trojans were the only Central Texas team to crack the Texas Girls Coaches Association’s preseason state volleyball poll.

West came in at No. 10 in Class 3A. Last year, the Lady Trojans overcame an 0-6 start to the season to compile a 24-12 overall record, which included a District 19-3A championship. They won three straight five-set matches in the playoffs to reach the Region III-3A tournament.

The UIL volleyball season will begin on Aug. 7.
