Celia Holmes obliterated her own state record in the 3,200 Friday evening at the TAPPS state track meet.

The Live Oak junior won the event with a time of 11:13.24.

That bests the state record of 11:26.25 she set a year ago as she finished more than a minute before second place.

Live Oak continued to rack up the hardware on Friday. Natalia Stringer won the 2A women’s high jump, Matthew Bailey placed third in 2A men’s high jump, Timothy Bierwirth finished second in the 3,200 and Jonah Stringer won 2A men’s pole vault while Chase Hill finished second.
