Jake Blenden, a former standout golfer at Crawford, claimed the title at the annual Waco City Golf Championship at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course over the weekend.

Blenden fired a first-round 65 to set the pace and shot 72 on Sunday to hold on for the title with a 137 total, four strokes better than second-place John Derrick (72-69-141). Chase Chapman took third with rounds of 72 and 70 for a 142 total.

Gary Tuller (137) and Jim Moore (133) were the winners of the senior flights, Bo Johnson won the Presidents Flight, Ken Blalock won the First Flight, Cole Craig was the Second Flight winner, James Hall took the Third Flight, and Ed York claimed the Fifth Flight.
