With Kaden Herbert running wild, the Vikings assured themselves of a TAPPS playoff spot with ease.

Herbert carried 14 times for 338 yards and five touchdowns, as Vanguard (6-2, 2-0) surged out to a comfortable 50-16 lead by the halftime break. The Vikings didn’t just let Herbert hog all the fun, as Kobe Thomas completed 6 of 11 passes for 118 yards and four touchdown tosses.

Elijah Wade found the end zone twice on throws from Thomas, while Carter Boehm, who was injured for a stretch of the season, made two grabs for 59 yards and a TD.

Jackson Davis paced the Vanguard defense with eight tackles, including six for losses, and three sacks.
