Members of the 1964 A.J. Moore state championship football team will reunite for a breakfast event Friday at the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.
Moore High won state in the Prairie View Interscholastic League that season, and is the last Waco ISD school to have won a state title. In addition to their reunion, players from that team will receive information about the nomination process for the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame, as the team seeks to have its first players nominated.
A total of 23 of the former players are deceased, but some will be represented by family members. The event is by invitation only.
