Tyler Webb was voted as the Trib’s offensive player of the week with 584 votes after he threw for 252 yards in Bosqueville’s 47-34 victory over Italy last Friday. The quarterback completed 21 of 33 passes for three touchdowns in the contest.
Cayden Johnson finished second with 503 votes. The China Spring quarterback ran the ball six times for 27 yards to go with his 193 passing yards and three touchdowns as the Cougars handed Gatesville its first loss of the season, 43-16.
Groesbeck’s Brayden Bradley is the defensive player of the week with 311 votes. Bradley recorded 18 tackles, one tackle for loss, one sack and a pair of forced fumbles. The Goats gave Teague everything it could handle before falling to the Lions, 22-20.
Jacob Bravo of Bosqueville came in second with 259 votes. He finished with nine tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack, an interception, a forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries with one going all the way for a touchdown.
