The Cougars naturally felt right at home at J.J. Kearns Stadium, scoring four times in the first quarter as they walked all over Rosehill in the opening round of the TAPPS Division III playoffs.

Quarterback Ben Brittain kept the offense moving in the right direction all night for Reicher (9-2), as he passed for two touchdowns and ran for two more. Bradley Bass carried the yeoman’s share of the rushing load, with 14 carries for 144 yards and two touchdowns.

Eli Ferris and Letrell Toussaint both nabbed TD catches for Reicher, and the team’s big-play defense got in on the act as well, as Bryce Dorton had a scoop and score on a fumble return. Rosehill’s only points came on a field goal and a safety.

Reicher will face Boerne Geneva Prep (10-1) in the second round.
