Breakdown: Midway coach Jeff Hulme said his players have realized that, at most, they have two games left in the season. While the Panthers have been trying to soak it all in this week during practice, they’ve also been focused on their next opponent — Longview.
“Longview plays extremely hard,” Hulme said. “They’re very fast and athletic. They’re not the biggest team we’ve played but they’re the hardest playing team we’ve faced.”
The Lobos are led by quarterback Haynes King, who has thrown for 1,662 yards and 20 touchdowns. When it comes to the ground game, Longview is paced by Keilyn Williams. Williams leads the way with 170 carries for 1,125 yards and 17 scores.
