Midway’s Tanner Mordecai added to his ever-growing awards haul this week when Ford Motor Company named him their Class 6A Built Ford Tough High School Player of the Year.

Mordecai passed for 4,388 yards, 53 touchdowns and only 10 interceptions, plus rushed for another 1,139 yards and 23 TDs for the state finalist Panthers in 2017. He had already been selected the Class 6A Offensive Player of the Year by the Associated Press Sports Editors and the Tribune-Herald’s Super Centex Offensive Player of the Year.

Mordecai has signed with Oklahoma.
