BRYAN — Waco High rolled off 21 unanswered points in picking up a key 42-21 win over Bryan in District 18-5A action on Friday night.
The Lions (5-4, 2-3) took the lead for good on Jaylen Harris’ 39-yard strike with Quinn Williams with time winding down in the third quarter. That made the score 27-21, and Waco High wasn’t done.
Harris and Williams exploded for some more fireworks in the fourth quarter, as the QB hit the receiver for touchdown tosses of 46 and 40 yards as the Lions gained some much-needed separation.
Harris also had a 15-yard TD pass to Josh Hamilton in the first half, and Terrance Hamilton scored on a pair of short first-half dives.
Bryan fell to 3-6 and 1-4.
