Live Oak charged to its fourth straight girls’ team title at the TCAL State Cross Country Championships last weekend in College Station.

The Lady Falcons placed five runners in the top 11 to tally a state-winning score of 34 points, 14 better than second place Home Education Athletics of Tyler. Live Oak’s Cora Hill ran 13:17.92 over 3,200 meters to seize second place in the state, while teammates Celia Holmes (fifth), Elizabeth Bailey (sixth), Emily Bailey (10th) and Annalee Eberlin (11th) also turned in strong races.

On the boys’ side, Live Oak (47 points) finished second in the team race to the HCYA Home School Lions of Houston (20). But the Falcons’ Anthony Allman brought home individual gold with a 5,000-meter time of 17:47.74, some 15 seconds faster than the next-closest runner.
