Former Mexia High School guard Curk Harris is playing for Oklahoma Wesleyan in the NAIA Division II national tournament in Sioux Falls, S.D., beginning Wednesday.

Oklahoma Wesleyan qualified for the national tournament by winning the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament championship with an 84-64 win over Southwestern College on Feb. 26.

Harris, who was the Tribune-Herald’s Super Centex Player of the Year in 2015, returned from an injury to play in the conference tournament after logging key minutes during the first 16 games of the season.

Harris is a junior who transferred to Oklahoma Wesleyan this season after playing junior college basketball at Richland College.
