* Todd Whitten, head football coach for Sam Houston State University, will host a football mini-camp July 23 on the SHSU campus in Huntsville. The camp is open to athletes in grades 9-12.
Cost is $40 and will include a T-shirt.
Campers will need to bring workout clothing, cleats and a copy of an athletic physical. Registration will be at 9 a.m. in the Ron Randleman Fitness Complex.

Heart O' Texas Youth Football will hold registration Saturday July 11th from 10 am to 2 pm for youth ages 7 through 12. Registration will be held at the Lake Air Pee Wee Football Complex located at 44th and Cobbs (directly behind the National Guard Armory).
For safety, tackle participants are assigned teams according to American Youth Football age/weight rules. Participants are also assigned teams by their school district (Waco, China Spring, LaVega, Connally, Mexia, West, and Mart).
Fees are $80 for tackle and $35 (plus uniform) for cheer.
