The South 40 Committee of the Heart O’ Texas Fair Complex is sponsoring the inaugural South 40 Shootout bass fishing tournament Saturday at Lake Waco.
The registration deadline is Friday.
Entry fee costs $150 per two-person team plus an optional $20 to enter the Big Bass competition; only 100 teams will be accepted to participate.
The winning team is guaranteed $5,000 in prize money.
Tournament proceeds will benefit the HOT Fair & Rodeo Scholarship Fund.
