HILLSBORO — Nicole Governal scored 25 points to help keep McLennan Community College undefeated in conference play with a 76-62 win over Hill College on Saturday.

The Highlassies (11-6, 3-0 NTJCAC) led 42-36 at halftime and expanded their advantage with an 11-2 run to open the second half. The Lady Rebels got back within six with 6:41 to go, but MCC closed the deal by making 8 of 10 free throw attempts down the stretch.

Nicole Walton chipped in with 16 points for the Highlassies, who will put their perfect conference record on the line at 5:30 p.m. Monday, when they host Temple College.
