Vanguard golfers 3rd in Temple tourney

The Vanguard boys’ golf team finished in third place in the Temple JV Tournament on Oct. 23 at Sammons Park Golf Course in Temple.

Vanguard shot a team score of 38-over-par 326 to finish 10 strokes behind team champion Austin Westlake JV. The Midway JV finished second at 319.

Midway’s Tyler Tipton and Vanguard’s Ian Lovett tied for second at 3-over 75, one stroke behind Belton’s Chris Sanders. Carter Caldwell of Vanguard was another shot back at 76.
