Baylor volleyball misses NCAA Tournament field

The NCAA announced its 64-team tournament field on Sunday, and the BU volleyball team didn’t make the cut after finishing 18-13 overall and 9-11 in the Big 12 — its most conference wins since 2001, the last time the Bears advanced to the NCAAs.

Baylor closed its season Saturday at home with a 3-1 loss to perennial power Nebraska, one of four Big 12 teams that did advance to the tournament, along with Texas, Kansas State and Texas A&M.

Baylor will graduate only defensive specialist Mandy Elliott off this year’s team.

Commenting is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. M-F, except on Tuesday when it's open until 9 p.m.
