The Baylor softball team announced five signees on Wednesday, including four high school seniors and a junior college transfer.
The Lady Bears signed East Bernard pitcher Courtney Repka, Katy catcher Holly Holl, McKinney outfielder Kathy Shelton, Alvin utility player Kelsi Kettler and Pratt (Kan.) Community College infielder Dani Leal.
After signing one of the state’s top pitchers a year ago in Aledo’s Whitney Canion, Baylor adds another accomplished arm in Repka.
In three seasons at East Bernard, Repka has recorded 69 wins, 1,023 strikeouts, 31 shutouts, 24 no-hitters and 15 perfect games. She led the Brahmas to the 2008 2A state championship and was named MVP of the state tournament.
Commenting is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. M-F, except on Tuesday when it's open until 9 p.m.
