Baylor junior offensive guard Jordan Hearvey will be out for the remainder of the season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee Saturday against Nebraska.

Hearvey was injured early in the second quarter, and was replaced by Chris Griesenbeck. Baylor coach Art Briles said Hearvey will undergo surgery for the knee injury.

“We certainly feel bad for Jordan because he’s done a great job for us, and it’s tough when it’s taken away,” Briles said. “He’s grown off the field as well.”
