A Baylor women's basketball program record four Lady Bears made WNBA rosters this season — Brittney Griner and Alexis Prince with the Phoenix Mercury, Alexis Jones with the Minnesota Lynx and Odyssey Sims with the Los Angeles Sparks.
Griner is off to a strong start to her fifth season in the league averaging 23.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 1.0 assists through three games.
She was the No. 1 overall pick of the 2013 WNBA draft, is a four-time Western Conference All-Star, three-time WNBA Defensive Player of the Year and won the WNBA Championship in 2014.
Joining Griner with the Mercury is Prince, who was picked 29th overall in this year's WNBA Draft.
Prince has played in all three games this season, averaging 1.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 7.1 minutes per contest.
Also tipping off her rookie season is Alexis Jones, the 12th pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft.
Jones is averaging 1.0 points in 1.7 minutes per game.
Sims is entering her fourth season in the WNBA and first with the defending WNBA Champion Los Angeles Sparks.
The second pick of the 2014 WNBA Draft is averaging 12.5 points, 4.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game.
