Suzie Eppers will be looking to do what she has done so well in the past – score some points in front of a Waco crowd.

Eppers will be the featured speaker at the 22nd annual Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce Tipoff Luncheon on Wednesday. The former Robinson High School standout, then known by her maiden name of Suzie Snider, went on to tremendous success as a basketball player and track and field athlete at Baylor. She holds the school records for points (3,861) and rebounds (2,176), and her point total is believed to be a women’s college basketball record. ESPN.com selected Eppers as one of the top players of the pre-NCAA women’s era.

The program will also include season previews from Baylor coaches Scott Drew and Kim Mulkey as well as McLennan’s Kevin Gill and Ricky Rhodes. Additionally, the Frank Fallon Award will be presented to someone who has contributed greatly to Central Texas basketball.

The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Ferrell Center.
