Temple University cornerback Derrek Thomas will transfer to Baylor for his final season of eligibility, according to reports.
Thomas will be immediately eligible to play as a graduate transfer in the 2018 season. He played under coach Matt Rhule at Temple in 2016 before Rhule took the Baylor job last season.
Thomas announced his decision to transfer to Baylor on his Twitter account.
After a sophomore season in which he finished with 29 tackles and seven passes defended under Rhule and defensive backs coach Fran Brown, Thomas played in only seven games as a junior in the 2017 season for the Owls.
