The Baylor football team picked up a pair of 2016 California junior college commitments on Saturday from Fullerton College linebacker Thomas Cletcher and College of the Sequoias offensive lineman Tyrae Simmons.

The 6-1, 225-pound Cletcher made 70 tackles and 6½ sacks for Fullerton last season. He played prep football at Corona Centennial High School.

Cletcher continued a recent tradition of Baylor recruiting California junior college linebackers after signing Eddie Lackey from Riverside City College and Grant Campbell from Bakersfield College.

Simmons is a 6-4, 300-pound lineman who played high school football in Visalia, Calif. He was also recruited by schools like Cincinnati and Fresno State.
