You never forget your first love.
Baylor wasn’t the most recent name to show Bravvion Roy any recruiting love, maybe not even the most glamorous, when you consider LSU’s football history. But Baylor was the first.
And, in the end, that made all the difference.
Roy (6-2, 315) made his commitment to the Bears official Sunday, sticking with the program that delivered his first scholarship offer back when he was a freshman. The defensive tackle from Spring is ranked as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com and also had offers from LSU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State, among others.
“Not a week had gone by where I wasn’t talking to Baylor,” Roy told SicEmSports.com. “Basically everything led me to picking Baylor. The campus. The coaching staff. The academics. They’ve been on me since my freshman year.”
Roy is the 11th commitment of Baylor’s 2016 recruiting class.
