Baylor defensive line coach Elijah Robinson is headed to Texas A&M where he will coach a similar position under new coach Jimbo Fisher.
Robinson coached under Matt Rhule for one season at Baylor after serving three seasons at Temple. Robinson played defensive tackle at Penn State from 2004-06, and was the Nittany Lions’ defensive line coach in 2011-12 and director of player development in 2012-13.
“I am sad but grateful for all the time I spent with Coach Robinson,” said Rhule on his Twitter account. “He did a great job for us at Temple and here at Baylor, and I want to wish him all the best as he starts this new chapter in his career.”
Robinson is the second assistant coach to leave Rhule’s staff during this offseason after wide receivers coach Bob Bicknell joined the Cincinnati Bengals. Bicknell was replaced by Frisman Jackson on Baylor’s staff.
